well - of course - the devil is evil - and as i mentioned in a former one the devil controls through 3 things - tempatation - deceit and lies.
score one for the devil - once again it seems so ridiculous - and so much as an excuse for doing wrong - that people will leave their guard down - his biggest deceit and lie - is that he doesn't exist - the biggest temptation - is to live as though he doesn't exist - and therefore - there's no evil place you'll be going to - to pay for your actions.
yes - evil had your husband do it - but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be punished -
he was tempted to put the baby in the microwave - probably because he was frustrated by the baby
he was deceived- no one will ever know - go ahead - i don't exist - you need to get rid of the baby - and you MUST do it - people will forgive
he was lied to - nothing will happen to you - i'll even get you off by saying the devil made you do it - no one believes in me - so they'll think you're crazy -
if you know what how the devil works - it's much easier - NOT TO DO WHAT THE DEVIL SAYS - the devil always destroys those he's in control of in the end -
so BOOM - the fact is wrong is wrong - the devil may be the motivator - but you don't have to do what he says - and if she thought the devil had control over her husband - i wonder how much time she spent in prayer
obviously someone was praying - because the child lived -
All he had to say to himself was the truth - hey - if i do what's wrong - there'll be trouble - follow the Bible - the true 7 deadly sins (the others were made up by a monk at the request of the pope - to sort of make it where the lay people would understand) - but the TRUE 7 deadly sins - a proud look, a lying tongue, HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, feet that run swiftly to mischief, a heart the deviseth wicked imaginations - a false witness that speaketh lies - and sowing discord among the brethren - proverbs 6:17-19: I'd say the bloke broke all those - BY THE WAY _ the 7 deadly sins are my pet peeves - so I do a diatribe on these quite often - (pronounced of'en - hee hee - for you S.) - the seven words - gluttony, lust, greed - blah blah blah - are a bit vague - seem to overlap - and frankly - who ever remembers them - except as "those 7 deadly sins" - oh sure you could google them - but you'd forget them soon after - because they are unclear - the Bible is quite clear:
how do you show love to some one - how do you love the Lord and love your neighbor - you don't do these 7 sins - (not as easy as it sounds) - but hopefully i've made my point - and the "devil made me do it" - i believe went out with Flip Wilson. (remember him??)
